SSG (switching the play under pressure) (45 mins)
Description
Progression from previous exercise now with added pressure and transitional elements.
Detail
3 teams of 4 with one team acting as 2xGK's and 2 wide players(targets). The aim is for team in possession (reds) to switch the play from target to target (can use GK's) v the blues who look to win the ball and CA to goal within 6-8secs.
Teams rotate roles every 2-3mins.
CP's/Challenges
Create space - individual and team.
Receive to face target.
Awareness.
Passing - through, over, around?
Without possession, hunt with intensity.
Attacking transition - speed of attack.
Progression
1. Can't use the GK's to keep possession.
2. Can't go back to targets once received - must go forward.
3. Touch restrictions.

SSG - Valencia (30 mins)
Description
SSG aimed at getting turned and playing off the strikers.
Detail
Middle team in possession look to play into either striker who sets for a goal.
Winner stays on.
Targets are one touch.
One touch finish.

Description
Session working on turning and switching the play in midfield areas.
Turning exercise aimed at improving awarensss, receiving, turning skills to switch the play.
Detail
2 equal teams fight in the middle for possession and use corner targets (green) to keep possession.
2 touches for corner targets
Players cannot go back to same corner they received from.
Rotate resting team every 2-3mins.
