1-0 To The Arsenal (30 mins)

4 vs 4 in the area. The other team of 4 is spread round the outside with a couple of balls each.

.

The object of the game is to score a goal to get 1-0 up...and then keep possession to stop the other team from scoring.

.

If the other team scores, they are then 1-0 up and must keep possession.

.

The outside players are not wall players, they are servers to feed the ball back in if it goes out of play on their side. They have the ball in their hands, and throw it back in to the players chest or knee.

.

The servers behind the goals, serve the ball back out to the team who scores a goal so that they can keep possession.

.

Progressions:

Add one of the servers in as a common player to make it easier to keep possession.

Make two touch

.

Coaching Points:

Find space off the ball to help your teammate

Always try to create an angle for a pass

Have composure on the ball

Shield the ball if nothing else available
