Goal: passing drill

Exercise:

short side in length: carrying, long side in width: passing

Rotation:

follow your ball

Variations:

Extra information:

clean passing: pushing in forehand, mind position of the body when pass is given, make contact with player before passing, stay low to the pitch (stick @ floor). position of the receiver = backwards, so the pass is out of the defenders' reach.

1v1 and receiving technique (10 mins)

Goal: agility/receiving/1v1/scoring

Exercise:

1. B plays double combination with A. (first comb. = inside gate, second comb. = outside)

2. A drops ball to the right where B picks it up @ his backhand and continues to goal.

3. A can defend the circle (behind square), B scores

one touch deflection (10 mins)

Goal: deflection/cross run

Exercise:

A runs back around cone and plays a 100% hard flat pass to right cone where B has positioned himself, B makes an open forehand deflection to the circle where C has positioned himself. C scores

(double setup left/right)

Rotation:

A-B-C

Variations:

closed forehand deflection with B running inside and C running outside (here: play a push so the deflector B can give extra ballspeed)

Extra information:

if deflection is too hard (lower levels) put the attention on the cross movement of the attackers and execute the drill with two touch passing.

play the first pass on the person, so deflection can be made in front of the body (instead of next to it) so you don't lose power.

backline 4v2 (10 mins)

Goal: 4v2 backline

Exercise:

A plays to B, who makes sideline deflection to C. attack starts ABC vs 2 defenders (who become active when C receives the ball). Aim is to reach D in front of goal who has to make a one or two-touch goal.

Rotation:

ABCD, fix defenders

try to create space for the free attacker as he has to play a ball in, don't force it trough!
