Ball based warm up

Half group in middle half on outside with ball

to start off nice and steady, receive the ball from outside, control, dribble ball and pass to player on outside without a ball, then look to receive off new player - 45 seconds each.

after 2 goes increase tempo

progressions

1 - find player on outside with ball in his hands - now we side volley back in to his hands - both feet before we move on to new player ( looking for Sharpe turn and sprint to next player)

2 - side header - as we approach player we turn our body is side on so we can use side of our head to play ball back - work both sides before we move on to next player ( turn at match speed to find next available player)

3 - play a 1-2 with the player on the outside before you pass to player without a ball on the outside ( we are looking for good quick movement in to space to receive the ball back so we can move it on to another player on the outside.

4 - jump header - player on outside does a bounce pass so we can get players off the feet to head the ball. As soon as we have headed ball back to players hands we turn and look for another ball - all done at match speed/tempo
