Purpose: a possession game with a functional resolution
Play is a 4v4 rondo (adjust numbers to fit) in a square or rectangular grid, with four cone "gates" outside the main playing area as shown
Team in possession must complete 5 passes inside the grid, then spring a player to leave the field and dribble through any one of the gates, resulting in a point.
Restart play with opposite team after each point.
Defending team can steal ball at any time and begin their own 5-pass possession sequence.
Coaching points:
-Incisive passing with good body shape on the receiver's part
-Awareness by both teams when the 5 pass sequence has been achieved and transition occurs

-Require that the exit pass be completed in/out of grid before player can receive
