C or D then cross ball aiming for runs of B or either C or D who didn't cross ball
Allow players to think of their own patterns of play to goal and experiment
Introduce live Defenders

Shadow play in possession of the ball
Red markers represent opposition in 9 a-side shape 3-4-1
Ball starts with GK who chooses to play out to either defender to start the practise
From this point players are coached to show good support positions and movements in order to retain possession in different scenarios across the pitch in a 2-4-1 shape
In particular guidance will be given to encourage different methods of playing out from the back.
Key Points
Quick movements in to space/Open body position at all times/Where can players rotate positions to get on the ball/Maintaining balance when in possession (Mindful of combating the counter attack)
The same set-up is then used to work on the team's defensive shape. The coach will move with the ball from position to position and the team will react depending on the position of the ball in to a general defensive shape.
Key Points - Who presses/Where do they show/Cover/Balance of surrounding players/Shape of the rest of the team

Visual Awareness - One Touch Passing and Movement
2 players in middle of circle with 1v1's on outside of circle
2 players in the middle play off 1 touch each with a maximum off 3 touches between them. Objective is to combine to pass to a free outside Blue player who plays straight back and repeat the process.
Players on the outside have to move to creat space and be free from there opposite Red defender to combine with middle players.
Each pair have 90 seconds to see how many points they can scoe (successful passes)
Introduce defender in middle of circle with a ball to dribble - Two players then have to pass and move around an obstacle and are encouraged to move at all times to avoid Defender
Key Points
Middle players playing with open body shape/Checking shoulders to see movements of outside playersQuality of pass (firm to feet/rolled in to space)
Outside players movements to free themselves from Defender (Fake in opposite direction)/Timing off when to move/Anticipate movements and decisions of middle players to free themselves
