Fitness 1 (15 mins)

Organization:

-You require a digital watch or stopwatch for these sessions.

-Grid size 10 x 10

5 players per grid #'d 1 through 5.

-Players will take 3 touches on the ball and then pass the ball to the next person in sequence but after they pass the ball the player must accelerate at 60-70 percent around a disc on the outside.

-Have the players work for 2 min  and then rest for 1 minute. 

-Perform 3 sets of this..Total = 9 minutes

Progression 2:

Same as above except the player will run around 2 pylons after he/she passes the ball. When they are doing so they will do this around the outside of the grid.

Perform 2 sets of this activity...work for 2 minutes and rest for 1 min seconds..TOTAL= 6 min

Coaching Points:

-Do not stop the players to correct technique during the activity as it will bring down heart rate

-Give feedback during the flow or at the end of the 2 minutes  for the group.

-Technique of passing and receiving

-when to pass to space or feet

-visual and verbal communication

-keep eye on the ball at all times.

2 v 2 North south, east west to targets (15 mins)

Organization:

-The activity takes place in a 15 x 15 yd area. 

- 2 v 2 with target players. Teams seek to play to a target player for a point and then seek to play to the opposite target player. If the ball goes out of play immediately serve another ball in to grid.

-I would  not go over 3 v 3 for this activity for Fitness session. with 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 the players will have to perform more actions(movements) which will be more fatiguing.

-Play for 3 minutes and then switch the interior players out and the target players in.

-W:R(work to rest)  = 1 : 1

-Play 2 rounds = 12-15 min

-keep score it will motivate them...

Coaching Points:

-Do not freeze the activity , let them work and keep HR up! Give info during the flow or at the end of the 3 min

-Attacking or defending principles

4 Goal game (15 mins)

Organization:

-15 minutes in total. 7 min porgression 1 and 7 minutes progression 2

-approx 20 x 20area

-4 mini pug nets or gates set up in each corner with blue restraining lines

-The Coach mobilizes players at the front of their line with a clap or whistle. The players at the front of their lines sprint around the RED pylon to their right and enter playing area which will result in a 2 v 2. As the first player rounds the disc the coach can gently pass a ball or throw a ball into the grid.

-Teams get a point when the player dribbles beyond the blue restraining line and passes the ball through the gate or into Pugg net. Blue attack NORTH Puggs/gate and Red attack SOUTH Puggs/gate

Progression

Players must run around 2 pylons/discs before they can enter and try and win the ball(see blue line above with "prog 2 movement"

Coaching Points:

-encourage and motivate, keep it intense and ensure players are sprinting around discs

-Attacking or defending principles of play
