See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization of Session
Organize players in a diamond shape
Balls in order to keep the flow of the activity going
Players spread out amongst starting points of activity
Key Points
Player #1 passes the ball to #2
After passing ball they jog at receiving player, who moves first touch with any surface of the foot, then passes inside of the foot pass away from pressure
#3 is the TARGET = can my first touch set me up to penetrate with a pass across the diamond, and/or pass right/left for possession.
Coaching Points
With 1st/receiving touch do players, move the ball and body away from the initial line of the pass to a new line?
Is touch far enough away we can get head up (make a decision) and be moving YET, close enough we can do something with the ball (skill - shoot, pass, dribble)
Suppleness of touch
Pace/textureof pass appropriate
Accuracy matters

Organization of Session
Organize players in a diamond shape - Same as first part of Phase2
Balls in order to keep the flow of the activity going
Players spread out amongst starting points of activity
Key Points
Player #1 passes the ball to #2
After passing ball the passer runs/pressures the receiving player, who moves first touch with any surface of the foot, then looks to either beat the pressure with penetrating or possession move to...
#3 is the TARGET = can my dribble set me up to then pass across the diamond, and/or pass right/left for possession,
AFTER ball is played out of above, passer becomes defender, repeat
Players in support can move and show based on pressure to create left-right-split support
Does their dribble/move set them up to shoot/pass efficiently
Pace/textureof pass appropriate
Accuracy matters
DO the 3 players in support recignize angle, distance and movement to support based on pressure
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization of Session
Game
Two goals
Key Points
See if the topic and session can be attempted and/or reinforced in open play
4v4 to 7v7
Coaching Points
Application of all as it pertains to the game context
Individual touch, surfaces and dribbling to set up the pass and now shot
Small group shape around the ball - left-right-split always, even if person on the ball does not use you
Everytime ball moves, shape moves as such
Do players recognize when to pass vs dribble to set up pass/shot

Phase1 - Warm-Up (10 mins)
Organization of Session
Every player with a ball
Split into two working groups with staff
- Group 1 - Juggling - surfaces awareness - rotate after coach determined rounds, rotate with Group 2
- Group 2 - Ball Mastery - surfaces awareness - rotate after determined rounds, rotate with Group 1
- each set is 2 minutes, rotate 1min, start - so total warmup = 10 minutes hitting economical focus with the ball using all surfaces
Round 1 - Group 1:
- Juggling all surfaces - as many as you can in a row, keeping the ball up - target 50
Round 1 - Group 2:
- Ball Mastery - Dribbling - Fast Footwork - Foundation to end line and back
Rotate Groups and Repeat
Round 2 - Group 1:
- Juggling - Laces only - keep up for as many touches in a row - target 25
Round 2 - Group 2:
- Inside/Oustide of the foot - right footed to half line (red line), then switch to left foot only - repeat
Rotate Groups and Repeat
Round 3 - Group 1:
- Juggling - Headers - as many in a row as possible, if ball drops attemt to keep up with feet, get back up to head - target - 10 headers in a row or more
Round 3 - Group 2:
- Fast footwork moving - oustide/inside alternating feet - so right/right left/left continue
Rotate and Repeat -completed after final round
Key Points
Total contact with ball individually for 10 minute straight, only rest is rotation from juggling to fast footwork/ball mastery
Prideful work and focus on the ball, body movement with the ball
Surface mastery and confidence
Targets matter - make a competition of who can get most touches juggling and ball mastery sequence
Coaching Points
Juggling - suppleness of touch, relate it to the game/context - challenge
Fast Footwork - wake your brain up, body stays in relation with the ball, we control the ball not the ball controls us - texture of touch in relation to moving - ball "paints" a new line everytime it moves and we move it
