Description

Assessment format for 2002 Fusion FC Boys ~ This is a basic overview for players and parents about what to expect at the FFC boys day 1 assessment. In all likelyhood the weather will be very cold this weekend. With this in mind, this session is designed to keep as many of the players as active as possible and give the coaching staff an opportunity to assess the players as thouroughly as possible. All the players will be assessed by different coaches during the session. There will be 2 GK coaches, assessing all the GKs. Richard Hawes (Head Coach) and Jason Jordan (TD) will address both parents and players during the evening. Please arrive early, as parking will be at a premium and you will need to register your son upon arrival.

2002 boys Assessment Overview. (90 mins)

Both pitches will have 3 'stations'.

1. 9v9 (+ subs) in the middle.

2. 4v4+4 or 6v6 behind one goal

3. Technical session behind the other goal

Using this format we will be able to assess the players in differing enviroments. It will also allow for greater numbers. At present we have approx 100 players signed up.

Ideally we will have 6 coaches on each field, assessing the Technical/Tactical/Physical/Mental (attitude) capabilities of the players. Whilst we will assess the 4 catagories where possible, huge emphasis will be placed on the technical ability of each player. i.e. Is a player comfortable on the ball? Does he pass, recieve, dribble, shoot with sound technique? Are they 2 footed? etc...

One coach will do a 10 minute warm up with each team.

Each of the 4 teams on either field will rotate through the stations.

At the end of the session the players will go through a brief cool down.
