Juggling Warm-Up (10 mins)

Organization:

15x30 yard grid, each Player with a ball.

Instructions:

- Players juggle in a specific pattern or sequence

Coaching Points:

- Players try to improve their touches (suppleness, control and foot-eye coordination) by juggling with different surfaces of their feet & body.

Instructions:

In pairs, agility and dynamic warm-up

Main Theme (10 mins)

Organization:

18x24 yard area

Balls

Instructions:

- Player plays diagonal pass to partner, and follows pass to provide semi-opposed pressure

- Partner gets in line with the ball and attacks their partner looking to execute the scissors

- Players continue to the end of the opposite line

- Once players have passed/cleared field, opposite corners mimic the same move

* Play for an "x" amount of time or certain amount of repetitions the switch sides so players can work the opposite

Coaching Points:

- Get in line with the ball

- Choose proper foot and surface to receive/attack the defender

- Go directly at the defender forcing them to commit

- Use of upper body to help exaggerate the move

- As space closes, execute the move

- Take the ball away with outside of the foot

- Accelerate away

Main Theme II (30 mins)

Organization:

Same as prior screen

Instructions:

- Sequence starts with initial square pass to partner, who plays same diagonal pass

- Runner now comes into play to help execute the overlap movement

- Rotation, A->B->C->D

* Play for an "x" amount of time or certain amount of repetitions the switch sides so players can work the opposite

Coaching Points:

- Same as prior screen

- C driving inside to help create more space for D to run into

- C playing the overlapping pass with the outside surface of the foot nearer to ovelapping player; get the ball out in front of D

- D runner begin's movement on C's touch inside to drive a B

- D timing of run (bend to buy more time and to run onto the ball at full speed)

- C able to use D as a decoy

- 2v1

- 2v2 (CONDITIONED GAME)

- Get in line with and have body behind the ball

- Attack the ball

- Get low and feet set (runner's stance)

- Hands under the ball (wrists together)

- Secure the ball to body
