.Setup the field 15 mins prior to session start. School is getting out around that time and it can be a little hectic over there with a bunch of little kids running around plus parents wanting to get them on the field. That 15 minute cushion allows us to engage the players as soon as they get there.
.Allow (or try your best to allow) friends to play with friends. Before separating into groups please be aware that a lot of the kids will want to be with a buddy or three so ask the kids to stand next to their buddy(s) who they want to be in the same group with.
.Divide the field up into 4 sections. Each coach will run a full session (warm up, main activity, conditioned game, and small sided game- contrary to what the original plan was).
.Engage the players through the entire training time. Keep an eye out for the occasional player that will like to wander off to see their parents.
.Safely get the players to their parents. Check out process is crucial- let’s keep a close eye on this each day.
