25X25 yd box

A) 1,000 Touches

- Toe Touches

- Touches between your feet

- "2 on top, 2 on the side"

- Skill moves (scissor, step over, kruyff turn)

B) Sprint intervals

- Sprint1 side of the square, then jog the next.

- Repeat pattern until square is finished. 4 Laps total

C) Number Passing Sequence

- Split group into 2 teams. Number each player (1 through 8 or whatever the numbers)

- Team must pass and move in numberical order (1 passes to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, etc.)

- Create games (first team to get back to player #1 six times - wins)

D) Plyometrics

- Squats

- Single Leg Lunges

- Planks

4 vs 4 with 4 neutrals on the outside

35 yds x 20 yds

-90 second games, 45 sec rest between games (rotate teams accordingly)

-Losing team with forfeit (quick sprint, star jumps, push ups, etc)

-Tie = both teams lose

Coaching Points:

1) Once possession is lost, can we apply immediate pressure or do we drop off into our block

2) Compact centrally in order to not get beat down the middle

3) Communicate (i.e - "I got pressure")

1) Expand when we win the ball, compact as soon as we loose it

2) If we do not have immediate pressure, make sure to get numbers behind the ball

3) Can we apply pressure as a group (look for body cues - head down, bad touch, facing own goal)
