Attacking Pattern 1 (5 mins)

1) CM plays ball into thre RB (2), RB receives and plays into the RW (7). The RW (7) has checked away from the ball before receiving the pass from RB (2)

2) The RB now overlaps or underlaps at speed, at the moment that the RB has slightly passed the RW, the RW penetrates on the dribble inside

3) As the RW is dribbling infield, the CF (9) is now checking toward the ball, the RW plays a ground pass to the CF who takes a touch to receive then play into the channel for the advancing RB

4) The CF and the RW now make attacking runs into the box, near and far post to receive a cross from the RB.

Keys

- Work on the timing and movement of the runs

- Quality passes with correct weight and accuracy

- Quality crossing delivery to pick out the run of the attacking players (near is driven or far is clipped)

- One touch finish whenever possible (attack the ball with your head if it is delivered in the air)

Rotation

This exercise can be working to two goals at the same time, simply rotate from position to position ending up behind the opposite goal to start again.
