warm up (10 mins)

Set up cones spaced into squares 4x4. Players in centre of own square w a ball.

Ball mastery in lanes.l0 mins max, Toe taps, Sole taps, .Inside roll/ outside roll,combo. fancy toe taps.V pull push.

Spend equal time on both feet w all ball masterys. Max 10 mins.

1v1 moves (10 mins)

1v1 moves, Week 6 Step OVER. Key points,Step over ball, move away with same foot.

Players move to cone on left, perform step over w right foot and move away w same foot in other direction.

FEINT MOVE. Ask where these moves will work in game scenario.

speed and finishing (15 mins)

Set up: 4 cones 10 yards apart in square w 1 cone in centre w a ball on top.Players at each perimeter cone. 4 balls 1 yard infront of each cone.

Game Players race around all cones back to their starting position without ball at first, when back they take a touch to set up and shoot to knock ball of middle cone.

Progress to dribbling ball around and shooting.

Coaching points,,, Kids must make it around each cone, when back prepare with one touch before shooting, look up!!!

Tag, Race to the Shooting Zone (20 mins)

The Set-up: Place three discs on each side to form a sideline. Divide the team into two and have them stand directly across from one another at the central disc (as pictured).

The Exercise: The red player quickly sprints around the yellow disc and tries to race into the far shooting zone without getting tagged. Blue immediately reacts to red’s movement (not the urgings of the coach), by sprinting around the red disc and tagging the red player before he can cross into the shooting zone.

Progress into coach passing ball into path of Red{ attacker} Players swap sides after.

Screen 5 (15 mins)

SSG:4v4 max.

4 goals, scoring zones as marked with yellow cones.

Once players score they run back and touch their defending line before they can defend.

If ball goes out of play, ball must be passed in from sideline.

Lots of Goals, lots of fun.
