Physical Warm up (5 mins)

For the first phase the boys know exactly what each exercise is so you should only have to yell it out and they will do it. Most exercises are done twice through unless stated (i.e arm swings, 1 time through swinging arms in each direction)

Physical warm up - 10min (2 lines) 2 times through for each activity.

- [x] Karaoke (once facing each direction) OR Karaoke with high knee hurdle step (bayern)

- [x] Open gate/close gate

- [x] scatter step/sprint it out

- [x] Backwards pivot

- [x] Backwards jog/pivot/sprint

Ball Work (10 mins)

Here i'm always reminding them to pay attention to detail, technical details, pace of pass, accuracy, play it to the correct foot, keep it tight to the ground, etc. DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS!!

Ball work - 6 min (players evenly spread at 4 corner cones)

- [x] 2 touch longer distance (all preferred foot, then receive with left/pass with right, then receive with right, pass with left)

- [x] 1 touch longer

- [x] 2 touch short

- [x] 1 touch short

- [x] 1 touch give/go

At this point, if one of you could go with Andrew to start warming him up in the goal that would be awesome. He will tell you what he needs.

Defensive Pressure (5 mins)

Defensive pressure and intensity

All players in the grid with a ball (if not enough balls, just get all the available balls and they pass to each other instead of dribble around the grid)

3 players start as defenders (with pinnies) and they have 30 seconds to get as many touches on balls as possible. After 30 seconds get the combined score of all 3 players, then 3 new players step in as defenders. Continue until all players have been defenders

Small-sided game (10 mins)

If space is available we play a short possession based, small -sided game. Numbers depend on the available players we have at each game.

Numbers for this game should be 15 outfield players so we would play 6 v 6 with 3. 3 Neutrals play offense for both teams.

3 touch maximum (to encourage them to play the ball quickly and have a plan before they get it) directional possession. To score they must stop the ball approximately on the end line. If they score, give ball to other team who attacks in opposite direction
