Warm Up: (20 mins)

Technical Warm Up:

Set up area relevent to players and age. Players dribble ball around area attacking gates for points. make competitive environment. Players score points by performing skill move in 3 directions.

Progress:

Smash and grab - defenders must steal all the balls out of area, attacker loses ball can be a passing option.

Technical: (20 mins)

Technical: Invisible Soccer

Set up area relevent to players and age. Players work in two groups and must keep possession of the ball unopposed. Add conditioned such as: the ball stops, players stop or players dont take a touch and the other team receive a point. Play time limit or first team to target.

Progess: Add conditions such as type of touch, number of touches, touching a line or passing in an order etc.

Players have numbers, on command must go and steal ball from other square. Team keeping possession longest receives a point. Bonus points for combinations.

Coaching Points:

Communication - verbal/non verbal

type of touch: prepare, place or protect

width and depth

angle and support

weight/accuracy/projection of pass

Q: why am i making a new angle all the time? A: create space for other players, combine around defenders.

Set up area suitable to players and age. defenders are placed in each third, attackers work in pairs to try to evade each third and enter final box to score. 1 point every third entered. If defender wins ball they switch over or earn a point.
