Warm Up (10 mins)

Organization:

40x30 yard area

Instructions:

Each player with a ball

Players dribble their ball from one side of the field to the other.

White A to B

Blue C to D

Introduce Messi touches and Ronaldo Touches

Coaching Points:

Toe is down

Use the outside or instep of the foot

Head Up

Look for spaces between players

Try to touch the ball with every step ( Use when defenderds near by) - Messi

Take bigger touches into space( use when seeing open space and getting across faster) - Ronaldo

Progression:

- Both lines at same time

- Dribble back and forth X' amount of times

Main Activity 1 (15 mins)

Organization:

20x20

Four lines of 3

Two White Lines

Two Blue Lines

Every Player with ball

Instructions:

Players Dribble at speed through their Channels and switch lines

Once White players dribble though their Channel, that triggers Blue Lines to start.

Coaching Points:

- Messi Touches in dimond to keep ball close

- Ronaldo Touch after getting trhough Dimond and into space

Main Activity 2 (10 mins)

All Four lines go at same time.

Coaching points:

Messi touches in crowd, Ronaldo into Space

Foves and Hunters (10 mins)

Organization:

Every player with Ball

Instructions:

Foxes and Hunters Game :

Coaches are the 'Hunters"

Players are the Foxes with a ball

Foxes have to dribble the ball from one zone to the other without being catched by the Hunter.

Foxes must be aware of the hunter's position in order to run away from it.

Foxes may have to change direction to scape from the hunter.

Coaching Points:

Dribble like "Messi" (small touches) to keep control of the ball

Spatial Awareness

Looking Up

Running with the ball

Progressions:

Foxes that have been catched become hunters.

Switch Roles. Coaches are the hunters, and players the Fox

3 gates

Instructions:

3v3

- Can score only By Dribbling through Gates

Blue Goal = 1 point

Red Gates = 2 points

No forward Passes

- Recognition of space

- Ronaldo or Messi Touches ?

- Ronaldo to take space faster

- Messi to keep ball near

Regression - 3v2 ( regular game )
