Warm up (10 mins)

Organization:

1. Two grids 20x30 yards

2. Team split into 2 groups with even numbers when posible

Instructions:

1. Players begin a sequence of passe as shown, players must follow their pass, if is a line with more than one player. the player joining that line goes in the back of the line

2. Player in the station ( 1 ) initiates the exercise.

Coaching Points:

1. Accuracy over power when passing

2. Body position to receive the ball

3. Positive first touch

4. Look up before the pass, eye contact.

5. On their toes ready to receive the ball and react.

Progressions:

1. One touch pass

2. Use of weak foot

Activity 1/ Individual (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Two grids of 20x30 yrds

2. Team split into two groups with even numbers when posible.

Instructions:

1. Players stand next to a flat mark. A player begin the passing drill, players must be next to a flat marker if you make a pass you must follow the pass.

2. Player who receive the ball must make a pass and follow

3. The idea is that every player must be next to a flat marker all the time

4. Tempo must be high and quick to promote player to pass quick, and move.

Coaching Points:

1. Acuracy over power when passing

2. Movement and reaction before and after the pass

3. Head up before the pass

4. Body position to receive and make the pass

5. Positive first touch towards the direction player wants to go.

Progressions:

1. Use of weak foot

2. Time limit to reach a limited amount of pases

Acttivity 2 / team (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Same as before

2. Remove flat markers from the grid

Instructions:

1. A 7v1 situation in each grid

2. The 7 players must keep posesion as they pass to each other.

3. Each player will go for a minute as a defender, if wins posession of the ball, give back the ball and keep playing until the minute is finish.

4. Tempo and pressure of defender mus be up all the time.

Coaching Points:

1. Accuracy over power when passing

2. Look over your shoulder

3. Think 2-3 seconds before receive the ball

4. Be ready to receive and pass ( on your toes)

1. One touch pass

Screen 4 (20 mins)

Organization:

1. Half field as shown

2. Two big goals

3. A 7v1 + 2 goalkeepers game

Instructions:

1. Players in red keep posession of the ball, 10 passes is a point.

2. Players in blue try to gain possesion of the ball and shoot on goal, 2 points if score.

3. Outside remaining players keep the ball inbounce

4. Rotate groups with in 5 minutes, so everybody has the oportunity to pass and score

Coaching Points:

1. Accuracy over power when passing

2. Move off the ball, create and angle to pass and receive

3. Communication

4. Look over your shoulder.

5. Think ahead 3 before receive and make the pass
