SAQ Warm Up (15 mins)

SAQ Warm Up

Set up like above. Group split up into 2. Both players go at the same time.

Players run through the ladder with one foot in each gap and then side step across to the tall cone and then sprint to the last tall cone and rejoin the back of the line.

Progressions:

- Players go side to side through the cones

- Players bunny hop through the cones

- Players sprint backwards once they have finished sidestepping to the tall cone

- Players sprint backwards to halfway and then turn and sprint forwards

Play for 15 minutes

Unopposed Ball Mastery Drill (20 mins)

Ball Mastery Unopposed Practice

Set up like above, 2 playes in each square, a soccer ball each.

Players dribble using a number of variations:

- Right foot

- Left foot

- Inside

- Outside

- Laces

- Bottom

Progression:

1) Players stand with the tall cone in the middle and perform a turn making sure they both go right of the cone to prevent them bumping into each other.

20/30 Minutes

Small Sided Dribbling Game (15 mins)

Small Sided Dribbling Game

2 teams, 1 ball, 25y by 25y area.

Blue team are trying to dribble the ball into the blue areas marked out by blue cones and the red team are looking to dribble the ball into the red areas marked out by the red cones.

Players have to stop the ball using the bottom foot in the scoring areas to get a point.

Play for 15 Minutes

Small Sided Scrimmage (10 mins)

Finish with a small sided scrimmage, encourage players to travel with the ball at their feet and perform different turns to get past their opponent. No goalies.
