Dribble Warm-up (15 mins)

Players move freely in the grid for a couple of minutes. Coach does foloowing exercises then.

1) Toe Taps (stationary, forward, and backward)

2) Foundation (stationary, forward, backward)

3) Rake (right and left)

4) Inside outside- players must touch ball everystep (left and right)

5) Inside Cut (both feet)

6) Dummy Step (both feet)

Gates (20 mins)

Separate into two teams. Players must make make moves of the day (inside cut or dummy step to go through gate).

1. Just run with the ball

2. Use inside cut only first

3. Use dummy step only.

4. Either

CPs: Head up, change of direction, a burst into space, technique of the moves

Star Wars (20 mins)

Similar to gates except there is an opponent on the line of the gate. Play 3-4 minute rounds. Always have one more attacking player than defending player. Players can attack any gate. Progress the game like this:

1. Passive defenders- encourage attackers to make move on the opponent

2. Defenders have ball in their hand. Defedner must tag the ball of the attacker to stop them.

3. Full defending

Emphasize moves of the day: Dummy Step and Inside Cut and previous coaching points. Allow players to play.
