3v0 (10 mins)

Organization:

-7v7 grid or adjusted for group ability

-3 players within grid standing by a cone, one cone unattended

Instructions:

-3v0 in the grid as players are passing the ball to each other

-Depending on movement of players, can create rule by saying that player who receives the ball must have support next to him. Create the question of who has to move and why?

-Everything with two touches.

Coaching Points:

-Receiving across body.

-First touch to prep, second to pass, crisp and tight

-Strong weight of pass

-Communication

-Movement OFF THE BAll. Player always moving in to support when teammate is receiving the ball, create two options wide

-Who needs to move, why do they need to move, when should they move?

3v1 Rondo (15 mins)

Organization:

-Same dimensions

-3v1

Instructions:

-3v1 Rondo in each grid

-Players get a point for every three passes strung

-Defender gets a point if they win possession and can dribble out of the grid

-If defender wins a point, play restarts

-Two touches

Coaching Points:

-Receiving on back foot/across body

-Strong weight of pass from teammates

-Communication

-Movement off the ball so first attacker now has an options in support on either side

Conditioned Game - Zones (15 mins)

Organization:

- Field size adjusted as needed

- Field split into three equal zones

- 4v4 or numbers adjusted playing to pugg goals

Instructions:

- Normal game to goal, but now we have the zones present to illustrate our spacing in and out of possession

Coaching Points:

-Receiving on back foot/across body

-Strong weight of pass from teammates

-Communication

-Movement off the ball so first attacker now has an options in support on either side

When in possesion, utilizing various zones to stretch the defenders

- When out of possession, closing down quickly

- Players at different lines in order to eliminate any square positioning

- Two pugg goals

Instructions:

-4v4 free play

Coaching Points:

- Our positional play with regards to our spacing in and out of possession

-Receiving on back foot/across body

-Movement off the ball from teammates to offer options wide and deep

-Communication

-Weight of the pass

-Starting position on goal-kicks, restarts with the ball.
