1 v 1 to Goal Warm Up (15 min)
Set Up: Cones, Balls, GK. 40 x 40 area outside of 18
Field players (FP) perform fast footwork inside coned area. Coach calls FP name who then goes to goal 1 v 1 w/GK
Variation: FP combination play in 2's, perform wall passes, overlaps, penetrating balls, etc. to go 1 v 1 to goal
Coaching Points: Accuracy over power!
Options:
(1) Take shot early before GK is set
(2) Shift the ball to one side early to get the GK out of set position
(3) Disguise shot, show one way & shoot the other
(4) Faint & go past the GK

SAQ Arrow Speed Training (10 min)
Organisation: Two teams line up behind the cone at points A and B.
Each time works one half of the arrow.
One player from each team races against each other.
Players sprint around the outside of each cone before sprinting back to your team.
Progression
Same drill but in a team relay. Players must tag the next person before starting their lap.

4 v 2 small sided game w/bumpers (15 min) (2 min or 2 goals)
Two squares playing 4 v 2. Attacking players can shoot after 5 touches. 1 point for attacking palyers goal, 2 points for defenders goal. Rotate groups every 2 min. Expand to 20 x 20 if too dificult.
CP: Movement after the pass. Offer angles of support. Communication.

Expanded Small Sided Game (15 min)
4 v 4 w/2 neutral players. Restrictions: 5 passes before team can shoot. 3 min or 2 goals, switch in group.
CP: Offer angles of support. Keep hips & sholders open to the ball to receive. Movement after your pass. Communication.
Progression to no restrictions
