Passing & Receiving (15 min)
Organization:
2 players
2 cones (at a distance suitale to ability)
1 ball
Instructions:
Set Up A:
- Player 1 can only pass the ball through the cones
- Player 2 can only pass the ball outside of the cones
Set Up B:
- Players exchange passes through the 3 gates but cannot play through the same gate consecutively
Coaching Points:
- Keep ball moving with 1st touch
- Experiment with using inside/outside surface to control ball
- Consider body position when using different surfaces to control
- Prepare the ball in as fewer touches as possible
- Quality of pass
Progressions:
- 2 touch only
- Play pass with outside surface (encourage disguise)

4 v 2 small sided game w/bumpers (15 min) (2 min or 2 goals)
Two squares playing 4 v 2. Attacking players can shoot after 5 touches. 1 point for attacking palyers goal, 2 points for defenders goal. Rotate groups every 2 min. Expand to 20 x 20 if too dificult.
CP: Movement after the pass. Offer angles of support. Communication.

1-2 combination paly to 1 v 1 on goal (15 min)
Set Up: Station A: 1 - 2 pass to create a 1 v 1 on goal for central player
Station B: Consective 1-2 passes to create a 1 v 1 on goal for wide player
Rotate keepers each 3 shots.
Variation: Add defenders light pressure, then full pressure
Coaching Points: Focus on pace, dribbling lace chop so touch is under control, get ball on shooting foot at 18, finish-don't just shoot, take what the keeper gives or finish low to corners
Keepers: Hands in front of body, each step the attacker takes- step & set, proper angle arc, stay on feet and long as possible, stay big!

Expanded Sm Sided Game (15 min)
Set-up a pitch suitable for a SSG (6v6), all players must be in the attacking half before teams can shoot.
Sm Sided Game No Restrictions (15 min)
Teams must have every outfield player in their opponent’s half to score. This forces players to move up and down the field throughout.

Coerver Ball Work (15 min)
Players at each corner dribble to the centre traffic cone using a variation of ball mastery techniques and turn and go out to the next cone and repeat. Use bells, toe taps, side rolls, juggling, etc. when going from corner to center cone & center cone to corners, use stepovers, scissors, sole "v", reverse "L", etc. as approaching cones and changing direction.
Coaching Points: Keep head up, stay balanced & over the ball, accererate away from cones (Defenders)
