Warm up (15 mins)

Organisation - 2 teams of 4 players, 2 play on inside 2 play on perimeter but must remain opposite to partner on outside. 1 ball per team. Play begins with outside player who plays into middle man who combines with other inside player who then plays out. Repeat and rotate players.

P - Rotation with inside/outisde players

P2 - Split middle men and play to opposite outer man

- Triggers for movement to receive

- Create supporting angles

- Combinations play

Combination play (25 mins)

Organisation - 2 teams of 4 players, 4 squares of 8x8, 2 orange 2 yellow. 2 players play on the inside area 2 players play on the outside facing opposite their teammates. 1 ball is in play.

Play starts with player 1 who has to play into player 2 who then needs to play into the diagonally opposite square to find player 3 who then plays out to player 4. Ball is then given to the other team foor them to run through the same drill.

1 - Opposite team shadow the team going through drill.

2 - 2 players in the middle on the opposite side act as defenders.

3 - Attackers can use all the area but must receive in diagonally opposite squares.

What if player 2 can not lose man to recieve ? Player 3 could drop in and player 2 could push further forward.

- Move as ball travels to get into position to receive

- Body positioning when receiving ( get side on )

- Play forwards

Playing through thirds SSG (25 mins)

Organisation - Pitch divided into thirds, 2 end zones 10x15 with the middle third 15x15. small goal at the endzones. 2 teams of 4 players, 2v2 in the middle and 1v1 in the end zones.

Team who are in posession are allowed a player from the middle third to join the attacking third to create overload. Likewise , 1 player from the middle third can drop into the defensive third to help playing out from the back. Players can only move thirds when they have possession!

- Combination play

- Angles of support

- Forward runs to create overload

- Playing forwards ( breaking lines )

SSG (20 mins)

Organisation - 2 Teams 4v4 could adapt it depending on numbers to create 3 teams and play winner stays on, would require making the areas slightly bigger. Team in posession must play 3 conscutive passes before a player is allowed to break out into attacking third, once player receives in final 3rd must wait for teammate to break into final 3rd to score.

P = Allow 1 defender to recover and defend goal

- Forward Runs

- Always support teammate on the ball ( Can the ball see you ? )

- Create Overload
