Learning Objectives
- Player A passes the ball to player B.
- Player B looks to attack either goal.
- In order to score Player A must go through the cones before they can finish
- If the defender wins the ball they can attack the other goal
Progression:
- Progress to 2v2
- The attacking team look to isolate 1 player in order to create an overload situation
- The attacking team must pass the ball through the cones in order to score
- Encourage players to make quick decisions and look to use overlaps to create 2v1 situations

Practice Organisation:
-Use Poles or Mannequins set up as illustrated.
-A player on each mannequin.
-First player moves the ball to either side of the mannequin.
-Player receiving the ball moves accordingly, always on an angle.
-He receives ball on back foot and plays on the angle again to player who has checked off to receive the ball.
- He then plays to the wide player who also receives on his back foot.
- Practice then goes the opposite way.
Progressions:
- Player 3 sets the ball playing a one two round the mannequin.
- Player 4 sets player 3 who plays in front of him.
Learning Objectives:
-Timing of movement.
-Body shape to receive.
-Receive on back foot.
-Accuracy/weight /quality of pass.

Practice Organisation
*Area set up as illustrated.
*Get players in to groups of 3, 1 player on the outside, the other 2 in the middle.
*Players on outside act as wall players just to play the ball back into player who passes it to them.

Rondo 4v2 (With Middle Man) (20 mins)
Conditions -
All players must
1. Receive on the back foot
2. Play in 2 touch
3. Create passing lines at all times
4. Players feet must be inside the pitch at all times
5. Players must keep their bum on the line
6. The player on the ball must have two supporting players to the left and right that are level with the defender.
7. The game is started with spot and play.
8. The middle player can only receive the ball through the middle of the blue players.
Breaking of these rules result in that player becoming the defender
The game is refereed by the player in the middle, this is to develop mistake management and correct technique.
Scoring -
A goal is scored by the red players playing a successful pass through the middle of the two blue players to the middle man who switches the ball to the player on the opposite side.
