Marbles (5 mins)

Players are in pairs and have a ball each.

They take it in turns to hit the ball at their partners ball.

If they hit their partners ball they get a point.

Leader moves around the square and the follower copies and tries to stay close

Do without a ball first then introduce the ball

1v1 or 2v2 games (20 mins)

Two ways you can run this.

1. Set up 2-3 different 1v1 scenarios (see diagram) and split into groups. After 5 minutes swap groups.

2. King of the hill. Set up 1v1 pitches side by side (basic B pitch is best). One side is the king court the other the joker. If you win you move up, if you lose you stay where you are with the exception of the king court where if you lose you go all the way down to the joker court.

If it is a draw the person who has been there the longest moves up.

The kids love king of the hill so I don't usually play a 4v4 game at the end.

Tip: Start the stronger players at the joker end

Both set ups can be 1v1 or 2v2
