Players start from 3 separate points either side of the goals. One line needs to always have a ball so they are ready to enter the field with it. Three players from the reds attack the two goals opposite. The whole team has to touch the ball and the shot must be taken past the orange cones (shooting zone) . Once reds have scored or ball is out of play blues quickly attack the opposite goal.

Once players understand the basics of the game now encourage them not to run in straight lines and look for passing combinations. E.g. overlap, playing backwards then forward. Award 2 goals when players score after doing this

The same practice now includes 1 defender. Have this be the player who has taken the shot for their attacking team now turn and defend.

- Angles of support in triangles not flat line

- Don't be beyond defender (offside)

- Timing and weight of pass

Progression

- Add a second defender to create 3v2. The player who takes the shot goes off and the other 2 stay on to defend
