Warm Up

Organization: each player has a ball working in the marked zone

Instructions: plenty of touches, working both feet-inside and out. stop-go (ball under control), stop/turn, step over, sissors, outside/inside hook, drop shoulder-left/right.

Coaching Points: head up, close control, look for space, see danger, quick feet, challenge players to try techniques, quality not tempo (unless instructed)

Unopposed Technical

Organization: 1 player on every cone without a ball. remaining players at start point with a ball.

Instructions: Passing around the triangle

DEVELOPMENT- 2 balls in play. increase tempo (expect a drop in quality)

Coaching Points:

Receiving ball on back foot

Player receiving ball. Movement away from ball/cone- shoulder check (check space behind and around)- 1st touch back foot (out of body) 2nd touch is a pass- follow pass.

Player passing ball. Timing (when to pass ball)- Weight of pass (not too hard or too soft) - Accuracy (of pass)

DEVELOPEMENT.

receive ball on outside of front foot and receiving ball on inside of front foot.

Organization:

1 V 1

INSTRUCTION.

1 passes to 2 (who recieves on back foot), who then passes to 3. As soon as 2 passes the ball, instantly becomes a defender. 3 must have a positive touch with the back foot and then attack the space as quick as possible.
