Organization:
1.20 x 20 yard area set up as shown
2.12 players (10 Attackers, 2 Defenders) set up as shown
3.1 ball per attacker (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.Attackers have to dribble their ball and stay away from the defenders who have pinnies in their hands
2.Defenders have to tag the attackers with the pinnie
3.If an attacker gets tagged, they then take the pinnie
4.If attackers dribble outside the square they are automatically given the pinnie
5.Players are not allowed tag the player that just tagged them play for a set time limit
Coaching Points:
1.Appropriate turn to protect or change direction
2.Bend the knees to create a platform to accelerate
3.Use the upper body to add disguise
4.Turn into space
Progressions:
P – Add more players with pinnies to start
P – ll players now have a ball
R – Reduce the number of players with pinnies
R – Increase the size of the area

Organization:

Instructions:
1.All players dribble around the area
2.On coach’s call “switch”, players stop their ball from moving, and start dribbling with a new ball (see A)
3.One ball is removed every 30 seconds, leaving one more player without a ball each time
4.Players without a ball must try to steal one from another player
5.If a ball is stolen, that player must steal one from a different person
6.Play for set time period
Coaching Points:
1.Change of speed and direction
2.Head up, accelerate away
Progressions:
1.P – Coach can restrict the surfaces players may use to control the ball, e.g. inside only, outside only, soles only
P – Players can steal the ball back from the person who stole it from them, immediately
R – Add in more balls than players

Instructions:
1.Defending player starts with the ball
2.Defending player passes to the attacking player
3.The attacking player moves out to receive the ball and attempts to beat the defender over their end line
4.Defending player becomes active on the attacker’s first touch and attempts to win the ball
5.Players rotate roles after each attempt
6.Award points for successful attempts and keep score
Coaching Points:
1.Commit defender
2.Play at speed
3.Attack the front foot of the defender
4.Execution of fake and feints
5.Cut in the space behind the defender – close the door
Progressions:
P – If the defender wins the ball they now can score by dribbling over the attacker’s end line
P – Defending players now become active on their pass
R – Allow attackers a second touch before defender is active
R – Have attackers start with the ball

Organization:
- 30/40 x 20 yard area with two 4 yard wide end zones is organized as shown in the diagram above.
Instructions:
Play regular scrimmage. Instead of having goals have two end zones set up. Players score by dribbling into end zones. (Adjust size of area to number of players). Play is continuous for the designated period of time.
Coaching Points:
- Head up.
- Close Control.
- Encourage moves.
- Decide when to dribble at speed or when to slow down.
Progressions:
Add a neutral player to create numbers up and more success.

First to 50 (Warm up) (10 mins)
Organization:
20x20 grid
Each player with a ball
Instructions:
Players begin by dribbling around the grid freely, getting lots of touches and using the whole space.
On coach's command of "First to 50" players must touch the ball 50 times as quickly as they can with a preiously defined surface of the foot (left foot inside, outside, sole etc.).
Players return to free dribble and await next command.
Coaching Points:
- Head up while dribbling.
- Close control when players are in a crowd, then attacking any open space with positive touches.
- Encourage toe touches.
- Always make sure players are doing the touches properly.
