Organization:
Channels set up as shown
Each player with a ball, divided evenly between Channels A and B
Instructions:
Channel A: -Players dribble out towards the blue cone (defender) and perform a skill or fake to get around. Next touch sets up a shot on goal. Player retrieves their ball and steps over to Channel B
Channel B: -Players dribble out towards the blue cone (defender) and performs a skill or fake to get around. Then, the player should penetrate the open space infront of him all the way to the end line. Step right and rejoin Channel A.
Coaching Points:
Close control of the ball as you approach your cone/defender
Proper timing of the move, skill or fake.
Positive first touch to penetrate open space or set up shot
Moves with both feet and in both directions
Progressions:
Replace cones with actual defenders (passive + opposed)

Players divided into two teams
Instructions:
First player from the white team passes a ball into the first player from blue team
Blue attempts to beat their defender and score on goal
1 point for beating a defender, 1 point for a goal, 1 point for stealing the ball and dribblig through a gate on the opposite line
Keep score, team competitions, and switch roles after designated period of time
Coaching Points:
Controlled first touch and quickly engage defender
Timing of your move
Encourage quick play and taking shots as son as they are available

2v2 or Free Play
R- Defender is not live until Attacker's first touch
- Defender is semi opposed and cant win the ball

Organization:

Whites are defenders to start, blues are attackers
Instructions:
White team plays the ball into Blue, who dribble out and attempt tp score on either of the small goals
Defenders score by passing through either cone gate on the other side
Game ends with a goal or ball out of play
Coaching Points:
Positive first touch to engage your defenders
Drive towards a goal
Encourage skill moves to quickly beat defender, then score
Can you isolate a defender to create 1v1 situation?
Progressions:
only 1 attacker vs 2 defenders

Every player needs a ball
Instructions:
Players dribble freely throughout the area, performing designated skill moves when they approach a cone (defender)
After a few minutes, add in two defenders who begin semi-opposed and just apply pressure
-Then, defenders become fully opposed and cones act as safe zone
Switch out defenders and repeat process
Coaching Points:
Head up to see defender as they engage
Proper timing of the move (not too early/late)
Use of multiple moves with both feet (brush, shoulder drop, scissors, etc)
Accelerate and attack open space to find a safe zone once defender is beaten
Progressions:
Defender is fully opposed and can win the ball
Reduce number of safe zones to increase 1v1 situations
Knockout style game - play until only one player left
R- Slow defender down to walking pace
