Technique (15 mins)

* Three teams of four, one ball per team

* Maintain possession within area, amongst the team of four

* Look for opportunities to play quick combinations, also look for spaces between other teams players and pass the ball through

* Concentrate on passing technique to your own player

Skill (15 mins)

*12 players, split into 2 teams of 4 attackers, 1 defenders and a target player

* Practice starts with 4 attackers v 1 defenders in each half, with target players at the end of the pitch

furthest from the attackers.

* Attackers look to keep possession, passing to each other, keeping the ball from the defender.

* Defenders score points by winning the ball and passing back to the target that started the practice

* When an opportunity arises, attacker looks to pass long to the target player to score a point.

* Progress to 3 attackers v 2 defenders once passing becomes accurate.

* Target player passes ball out to Attackers to restart practice.

* Change defenders regularly to avoid fatigue

Small Sided Game (20 mins)

* Two teams of 4, plus 2 targets and 2 floaters

* Directional game, aim is to pass to targets to score a goal - they return the ball to the opposition who then play the other way

* The floaters can be used by the attacking team to create overloads and progress up the pitch.

* Coach key factors:

- Passing selection, into feet or into space for the runner

- Play square, forwards or backwards

- Passing execution. Ball contact, Standing foot/Weight, Striking foot, Follow through, How many

touches?, Accuracy/disguise
