Conditioned Activity (3v2) - Scenario I (15 mins)

Organization:

Two groups - Defending (4) and Attacking (4+)

1 Ball in play

Extra balls off to the side

Instructions:

1. Focus is on recognizing that Pressure is tight and Cover is not present.

2. Option A / Option B from previous screen.

3. In this scenario, #9 creates space to receive the ball and the defender applies pressure. #9 receives the ball and looks for Option A / Option B.

Note:  Cover in the diagram is not present and supporting the first defender because he/she is concerned with the second attackers (#7) movement.

1. Two defenders stay in through two cycles. To increase tempo, have defenders alternate every cycle for immediate pressure.

2. Attacking group and defending group in for set time. After time has passed have groups switch roles.

Conditioned Activity (3v2) - Scenario II (15 mins)

Organization:

Half field

Two groups - Defending (4) and Attacking (4+)

1 Ball in play

Extra balls off to the side

Instructions:

1. Focus is on recognizing that Pressure is tight and Cover is not present.

2. Option A / Option B from previous screen.

3. In this scenario, #9 does not do a great job to create from the defender and pressure is already tight. #9 is not an viable option. Instead #11 receives the ball and drives centrally towards goal - looking to shoot if possible. Defender recovers (on a diagonal run).  #11 uses a V Move to cut in the opposite direction. #9 Makes an outside run. Player #11 breaks the defenses line with an outside pass to #9. If the recovering defender does not fully commit, #11 can cut the ball across into the space between the two defenders in the direction of #9's movement.

Note:  Cover in the diagram is not present and supporting the first defender because he/she is concerned with the second attackers (#7) movement.

Rotation:

1. Two defenders stay in through two cycles. To increase tempo, have defenders alternate every cycle for immediate pressure.

2. Attacking group and defending group in for set time. After time has passed have groups switch roles.
