Soccer Tennis (15 mins)

Soccer Tennis

2 teams of 4. Ball is allowed to bounce once, player can only touch the ball once but all players can touch it.

Pair Passing and Receiving (15 mins)

In pairs, players pass and move in the grid. (Add competition as needed)

1. Play to team-mate's feet and then move into a new space.

2. Play into space for your team-mate to receive on the run.

3. Play the ball into team-mates feet and then pressure immediately. Receiving player has to take 2 touches to get a point before team-mate can steal the ball.

Receiving Square (15 mins)

Players on the outside of the grid play a ball into the players in the middle who play the ball back. Players then have to go back into the square and then go and receive the ball from an outside player.

Progressions:

- 1 touch

- Receive the ball and take it to another player.

Coaching Points:

Check Shoulder

Open up at an angle

Small steps to be balanced upon receiving

Know what to do with ball before receiving it
