Y Exercise (3 variations) (15 mins)

Set Up: The set up is the same in all three examples. The cones are about 10-15 m apart. Two players on each cone and any extra players are in the starting line.

Instructions: A) As the middle player comes off the cone to the ball side, the player on the ball (to the right of the cone) plays a pass to the right foot of the middle player. He or she opens up and on the second touch, plays the ball to the left corner player who also opens up with his or her first touch past the cone and dribbles back to the start. The next start is on the left of the cone and the final pass is to the right corner. Rotate on following your pass. B) Start with the same initial pass. The ball is set back to then be played into the left corner where the corner player looks to play a give and go with the middle player who has timed the run to arrive as the ball is set back. Rotate the same as in A. C) The ball starts the same as in A, the middle player opens up, plays to the corner where he or she then follows the pass and sets up for a wall pass with the corner player. Rotate the same as in the other sequences.
