Pass move receive

In this drill we will have a square set up (the dimension are up to the coach, they could be whatever you want. Godd drill for long or short passing)

Have a group of 6 players with 2 balls.

Objective of the drill is to have player passing and receiving.

Variation 1: two touch, player needs to receive the ball while opening hips to setup the pass for the next player. Each pass needs to be behind the cone or pole to make it as realistic to a game.

Variation 2: 2 touch passing, player receives the ball inside of right/left and pass with opposite foot (depending on the direction of the activity)

Observe for the receiving technique, is the player standing or checking to the ball? concentration or is he ball watching the other group?

Plus passing

This is great warm up exercise for any age group and level.

Player A passes the ball to B, B will lay off ball for A to pass the ball to C, B will take the spot of A, A will now receive the ball from D and lay off for D to pass to E, A will not take the spot of D and the drill keeps going. 2 BALLS IN PLAY.

This is a high level concentration drill that requires players to be focus on where the ball will come from, also the technique needs to be good in terms of laying off and short distance passing.

2 in 1 passing

Have 10 players in 1 group

Lettter group: A passes to B, B lays off ball back to Aand A passes the ball to C across the field while B checks in to do a 1-2 C will dribble down back to the strarting point in speed to keep the drill in a good flow

Number group:1 will pass to 2, 2 will receive with a trap open hips to guide the ball forward. 2 will dribble hafl way and pass the ball to 3, 3 will pass back to 2 and 2 will do a 1-2 with 3 and 3 will run down the line to keep the flow of the drill

This exercise is good for ball receiving, passing moving, checking, switching of play and communication

The set up can vary in the teams technical level
