Blocked practice

Footballs placed on red markers along top edge of penalty box and 'D'.

GK starts in centre of goal, attackers start of respective blue marker.

On coaches command (1-4) attacker identifies self to GK and approaches ball and shoots at the GK. GK moves along line of ball and sets prior to ball being struck.

Progression

1 Strikers now shoot ball along ground towards far post

2 Strikers now shoot ball along ground towards near post

3 Strikers can now strike at goal

Variable practice

Markers indicate target area for servers.

GK starts from centre of goal. Servers on edge of penalty box / touch line. Receivers stood approx 5 yards outside of target area.

On coaches command server 1 delivers into target area towards target 2 who can either take one touch or strike first time (sidefooted). Alternate servers/receivers. Receiver can follow up handling mistakes/parry.

Progression

GK starts at post nearest server and moves when ball is served.
