Warm Up (10 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x30 area set up as shown

2. One ball per player

Instructions:

1. Players juggle the ball using different surfaces dictated by the coach

2. Rotation

a. Thighs Only

b. Feet only

c. Right Foot, Left Foot, Bounce

d. Combination, cant use the same surface twice

3. Each round is 2 mins long

Coaching Points:

1. Body positioning

2. Correct body/foot surface

3. Drop the ball, do not throw it in the air

4. Can you keep the ball at eye level

Progressions:

1. Competition - the most is allotted time with specific surface

Main Theme (30 mins)

Organization:

1. 40x30 field set up and shown

2. Separate players into two teams

3. Two team members per team colored cone

4. Multiple balls

Instructions:

1. Player A passes the ball to Player B

2. Player B passes the ball back to Player A, creating a Give and Go

3. Player A receives the ball, dribbles up the line and crosses the ball towards the far post.

4. Player C makes a run to the far post trying to score a goal.

5. If a goal is socred, the team receives a point. The next team then attempts. First team to score 10 goals wins. Teams switch sides and begin again.

Coaching Points:

1. Check to the ball

2. 2nd attacker to offer support for combination to the side

3. Receive sideways on

4. Angle and distance of 2nd attacker

5. Play at Speed

Progressions:

1. Add goal Keeper

2. Add defender

Conditioned Game (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Field set up as shown

2. Team 1: sets up in a 2-1-2

3. Team 2: Sets up in a 2-2-1

4. Multiple Balls

Instructions:

1. Teams must stay in formation. Goal keepers will switch every 2 minutes.

2. Each team will play for 6 mins with a condition then switch conditions and formations.

Coaching Points:

1. Individual and group decision making about where to play the ball to relieve pressure on the ball.

2. Team shape

3. Support in attack

4. Creating and using space

5. Passing and receiving

1. Open Play - no restrictions
