OFFENSIVE SHORT CORNER - 9v9 (20 mins)

ORGANISATION :

Coach to instruct and concentrate in detail to six of his players i.e a-b-c-d-e-f in their roles and positions and triggers involved.

Player (a) - should be a left footed plr who can strike/deliver the ball, his/her role is to take a short corner to plr (b) pass1 and on passing s/he should make movement 1 to create space for a strike/pass into goal/area (pass3).

Player (b) his/her role is to recieve pass 1 from plr (a) then deliver pass 2 infront of plr (a) once s/he has made movement 1 then s/he can make an arced run movement 2 to support plrs in area and create doubt in opposition defence.

Players (c) and (d) to take positions shown i.e in line with penalty area lines and half way between area and half way lines - this in readiness of headed clearence from defenders and have strike or deliver ball back into area also and importantly they are in their positions to counter the counter attack.

Player (f) to take position in front of goal keeper so as to hinder the keepers vision and movement (s'he must be carefull not to foul).

Players (g) and (h) to take positions within area and to have good movement to keep defenders attention on them and not the movement of the players taking the short corner.

OBJECTIVES :

To gain advantage in scoring a goal.

To create a better angle to score.

To create confusion amongst the opposition.

To observe learning within players of the practice/function.
