Screen 1 (30 mins)


                 Attacking team to score (free play)

                 Defending team re-possess or dis-possess then break out (counter) and score                                                                    

                 Server into any player on attacking team

                 Game realistic positioning from players and units

                 Rotate attackers and defenders every 7/8 minutes.

                 No set pieces, if ball dead, start from server.

-          Tempo

-          Aggressive and positive press

-          Directional, force certain way

-          Press as a unit

-          Effective and useful communication/information

-          Pressing, cover and balance

-          Decision making; to intercept, to jockey, to tackle, when, where, why, who, how.

-          Press as ball is in motion (nobody possess it)

-          Positivity and belief to win back

-          Vital for coach to motivate and keep high intensity. *use of hand clapping, loud and consistent communication, praise and encouragement.

-          If ball is re-possessed, ways for def to break out (counter) through cones (act. 1) or how to go from back to front to score in goal (act. 2).

-          Triggers – ball played backwards, poor touch/pass, opposition vulnerable, pitch position, defensive setup.
