- GK passes to CB. No.9 arcs his run to close down defender cutting off the passing angle to opposite CB and GK.
- Left sided CM player moves onto inside shoulder of attacking player
- Deep lying CM player moves into inside shoulder of attacking CM player if ball is played to feet he looks to win it or push attacker backwards
- Right sided CM player comes narrower providing cover and an extra man if ball is played inside as shown he also tries to win the ball.

Gk passes to defender whp performs a bounce pass and they go out the other way.
- Right sided CM player to close down defender as we are now higher up the pitch
- Deep lying midfield player to close down the left sided CM player for reds
- Left sided CM player provides cover and balance centrally
- No.9 makes a recovery run into a central area where he can be in a position to win the ball if played centrally into players feet.

Ball starts with red goal keeper every time with whole aim is for reds too play ball to target man at opposite end.
Blues initially drop off encouraging reds to play out from the back, blues target is to win the ball high up the pitch preventing ball progressing through the units if they win ball back game stops and starts back again with red GK (server)
