Organization:
Half of a field, divided as shown
Instructions:
1. Play starts with a pass in from the central defensive player (Carragher or Hyypia)
2. The ball is then played to one of the flank players in the wide Channel
3. As the flank player moves to the channel on the side, there can only be one attacking player in the zone the defensive players are not allowed in the side channel. (This player represents Garcia or Riise) The defensive player (AC Milan) Can only play up to the half line
4. As the flank player recieves the ball, the look to play an early cross into the target player (who represents Baros)--The second option for the wide player is to take the wide defender 1v1 and get a cross in that way
5. The second forward has to make a run off of the player representing Baros. The run should be made underneath the target player to capitalize on the space between the two center backs (Nesta and Stam) and the Defenisve midfielder (Pirlo)
6. The target play must make the decision to either set the ball back to the supporting forward underneath or turn and look to score.
7. If the defenders win the ball the look to play into the center zone (4 v 5) and their players may score on the small goals.
Coaching Points:
1) Quality and timing of the early cross into the target foward
2) Recognition of the early cross
3) Starting the run as the ball is being played wide
4) Visual cue of the long touch out of the feet at a slight angle to play in the early cross
5) Movement of both strikers as the ball is travelling from central areas to the wide areas.
6) Target player should look to position themselves between the center backs when they recieve the ball, so both players are occupied, thus opening space for the second run from the supporting striker

Scenario B
Defender starts at either corner, Player 2 checks away then to the middle of the channel to recieve the ball, for scenario B the defender is instructed to play tight to either side of the attacker, at this point the target striker turns with the ball and drives over the endline.
