Main activity 1 Week 2 only (10 mins)

Organization: SAQ

1. Two groups of six (if space is available).

2. Split Group(s) into two teams.

3. NO BALL

Instructions:

1. Attackers start the game by taking their 1st step from the cone.

2. On attackers 1st step, that will be the Visual Cue for the defender to run out

and try and tag the attacker.

3. The attackers they are looking to get through either gate without

being tagged by the defenders.

4. Players switch roles as soon the attacker gets through the gate

or is tagged by the defender.

Coaching Points:

1. Drive at defender at speed. ( Do not walk to opponent)

2. Keep options 50.50

3. Look to UNBALANCE. (Be unpredictable)

4. Timing of Fake.

5. Acceleration.

Main Activity 3 (10 mins)

Organization:

1. 30 x 30 Area Size.

2. Split the group into 2 teams of 6.

Instructions:

1. White team attacks the goal and then defends, as soon as the

ball goes out the blue player attacks and this process continues.

Coaching Points:

1. Do you have to beat the player or can you just create space to

get shot at goal.??

2. Quick transition after possession is turned over.

Organization:

Make 3 teams

2 goals to attack & defend.

Progression: With normal Goals FREE PLAY

Coaching Points:

Triangle Shape + Skill of the day & Reinforce previous skills as

1. 3 lines of attack, 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward.

2. Create as much space for player in possession.

3. Try to create a triangle at all times to give good angle of support.

4. Team mates create gaps, can player in possession look to

dribble first.
