4v2 squares (25 mins)

Organisation -

Set up 2 areas 15 x 15 diagonally opposite. In one grid have 4v2 and the other a 3v1 Four attackers need to create opportunity to release a player on a forward run so they can pass to the other grid and join in. One of the defenders can give chase and join the other group creating another 4v2 so the process can restart.

Remember back to previous sessions on forward runs, what can we remember?

Coaching points : Think about our runs (Time, shape, speed), Clever movements, Communication ( Voice, pointing, etc ), Quickness of player making the pass so we dont miss the opportunity.

End zone (30 mins)

Organisation

Mark out pitch ( 30 x 40 ) depending on numbers may need to split into 2 groups resulting into smaller groups and pitch size. 5m End zone area at each end. Play 5v5 or 4v4 in center 2 neutral wide players who support attacking team : these are the only players allowed into wide areas.

To score teams have to recieve in oppositions end zone. However, they can not wait in end zone, player has to time run so the ball has been passed before they recieve.

Challenges
