* PLAYER THEN MOVES TO NEXT CONE AS IF THEY ARE PRESSING AN OPPONENT.

* WHEN THEY UNDERSTAND 2 BALLS CAN BE INTRODUCED FROM OPPOSITE CONES.

Passing Practice - Progression 2 (5 mins)

* WHEN THE BALL IS PASSED THE PLAYER ON THE OPPOSITE CONE IS TO APPLY PRESSURE.

* THE PLAYER PASSING THE BALL IS TO FOLLOW HIS PASS AND JOIN THE END OF THE LINE.

* THIS WILL TEST CONCENTRATION AS PLAYERS NEED TO BE READY TO PRESS AS WELL AS RECEIVE AND PASS.

* PLAYER PRESSING THE BALL IS PASSIVE HOWEVER THEY NEED TO BE ABLE TO FORCE THE PLAYER RECEIVING THE BALL TO PLAY IN THE DIRECTION THE DEFENDER WANTS.

* THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY PRESSING RIGHT OR LEFT FORCING THE RECEIVER THE PASS THE OTHER WAY.

* THIS WILL TRIGGER WHO WILL PASS NEXT.

* ONLY ONE BALL IS TO BE USED.

* 5 V 2 INSIDE GRID A AND GRID C.

* GRID A - 20M X 25M WIDE, GRID B 5M X 25M WIDE, GRID C 20M X 25M WIDE.

* PLAYERS IN GRID A (BLUE) AND PLAYERS IN GRID C (RED) COMBINE MINIMUM OF 3 PASSES TO PLAY TO THE OPPOSITE ZONE FOR A POINT.

* 2 YELLOW PLAYERS FROM GRID B ENTER EITHER GRID A OR GRID C TO WIN THE BALL AND PLAY THEIR TEAM MATES IN GRID B FOR A POINT.

* THE REMAINING 3 YELLOW PLAYERS ACT AS COVER OR A SCREEN IN GRID B TO INTERCEPT.

* WHEN THE BALL IS PLAYED INTO THE OPPOSITE ZONE , 2 FRESH YELLOW PLAYERS ENTER AND TRY TO WIN POSSESSION.

* START TO MOVE TO CLOSE DOWN THE SPACE WHEN THE BP PLAYER MAKES TO PASS.

* PLAYERS NOT CLOSEST TO THE BP RECEIVER TO MOVE AS BALL IS TRAVELLING INTO POSITION TO BE READY FOR NEXT BP PASS.

* WATCH THE CONTROL OF THE PLAYER ABOUT TO RECEIVE THE BALL, IF THEY HAVE POOR CONTROL OR NEED TO PUT THEIR HEAD DOWN SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CLOSE DOWN QUICKLY.

* IF PLAYER IS NOTED AS HAVING POOR FIRST TOUCH ATTEMPT TO ENCOURAGE PRESSURE TOWARDS THEM AS LIKELY CHANCE OF WINNING BALL BACK.

* BE IN A POSITION THAT PREVENTS THE BP TEAM PASSING FORWARD EASILY.

* AS YOU APPROACH THE BP PLAYER, SLOW DOWN AND SHAPE YOUR BODY TO FORCE PLAY IN DESIRED DIRECTION (TOWARDS YOUR BPO TEAM MATES).
