Technique (20 mins)

12 players. Six in each play, with three at either end of the grid.

Players must simply run with the ball to the opposite end.

Players must pass the ball to the opposite player.

Once this has been done, the play can be adapted adding in cones which create lines.

Players must use a good first touch to get the ball passed the first line and pass before the second line.

Skill (20 mins)

The progression of this running with the ball session is to add some defenders who can restrict the runners.

A grid is setup with two end zones. Four players stand in each and pass the ball around the area, one player must then make the decision to run with the ball and reach the other side.

Two defenders, one in each half must restrict there run. However, once the player goes passed the halfway line the one defender must restrain and allow the other defender to act.

Game (20 mins)

Conditioned game.

Goalkeepers are now added to make a six v six game. The pitch will feature two wide zones which will each have one player in a bib.

They can play as either team but must be used before each team can score.

There goal is to recieve the ball and then run down the wing and create a crossing opportunity.
