Ball Mastery (15 mins)

Ball Mastery

1. Have every player with a ball dribling randomly to any of the randomized cones in the grid.

2. When they approach a cone, have each player perform the following footskills in order (spend no more than 2 min on each skill but make sure they use both feet):

A) Drag Back, Pull Behind, Take Away (with the opposite foot)

B) Scissors

C) Stepovers

D) Single Slide

Passing/Receiving (15 mins)

1. Have only the white players with a ball to start.

2. Have each player with the ball dribbling and performing any of the previous footskills

3. Once they have performed the footskill of their choice, they must find a player without the ball and pass to them. The receiving player should take their first touch into space, perform a footskill of their choice, and then pass to another teammate that does not have the ball.

SSG (30 mins)

1. Have the two goalkeepers in net on Field A

2. Play 3v3 or 4v4 on Field A (focus on passing, support and footskills to build an attack)

3. On Field B, play 5v2, 5v1, or whatever numbers you have available. Focus on maintaining possession. Coaching Points: First touch (quality and away from pressure), quality passing, and supporting the ball. 5 passes = 1pt. If defenders win ball, they can score by DRIBBLING the ball to one of the small goals on either end of the grid.

**After specified time, switch groups, but leave goalkeepers on Field A**
