Footwork Warm-Up (15 mins)

Box run

Small square 5m x 5m for 4 players.

Players run forward from A to B, B to C, C to D, D to A.

Players always facing forwards towards mannequin.

Coaching points:-

Bent knees.

Weight slightly forward

Legs wide apart on traverse from B to C

Heels shouldn't touch

Checking shoulders on backwards run

Progression:-

Change direction

Start 1 player on each cone and play tig.

players have to pass to shootes then they have to move into the goal and save a shot once working GK saves a shot they move to become a shooter

Reaction Saves

GK faces into goal. Coach designates a shooter and calls out "Turn" as they approach to shoot. GK will turn on coach's call and try to recognise which player is shooting and save that shot. Shooter and GK then switch places.
