Focus on decision making - When to pass Vs When to dribble
After attending game on 4/6, players often had head down and were unable to find team mate
If they did try to reach a team mate, technique of pass lead to interception or misplacing of pass to opposition

4 players - working in pairs
3 soccer balls
Instructions:
Player highlighted as 1 - begin to dribble forward, directly at opposite player
When reaches middle of area, white player dribbles forward supported by team mate
When 2 players are in front of each other, white player passes across to team mate - blue continues to dribble to end line
2nd blue player begins to dribble forward
As 2 players meet, white player passes across to team mate - blue continues to dribble
Coaching Points:
Head up to observe opposite player distance from you
Dribble with foot closest to team mate
Pass ball with outside surface of foot - closest to team mate

Movement after pass

Instructions:
Player from blue team dribbles out, unopposed
Takes shot on goal, immediately becomes defender
2 white players move to attack 2v1 to score in opposite goal
White team starts next practice - 1 v GK, Blue has 2v1 advantage
Coaching Points:
Use 1st touch to get defenders attention - engagement
Keep ball close - dribble at front foot of defender
Supporting player must remain close enough to distract defender
Supporting player must stay behind 1st attacker - offside
Decision making - pass or dribble?
Progressions:
Shot clock - 10 seconds to score
Any backwards passes = game over
