Organization:

Warm up in the circle. One player one ball.

Instructions:

Players dribble the ball inside circle.They perform different moves: (stop & jump, sit on the ball, stop on ball, hands on hips etc.) on coach command.

12 x 8 each grid

All exercises are played inside this field.

Instructions:

Players run with ball in the channels using dribbling techniques pre-determind by the coach. They dribble from one end to the other and back again. (Move with the sole, inside, outside, instep, rolling the ball etc.)

Organization:

Players are in groups of 2 or 3.

Instructions:

(5 mins) Stage 1, in this stage they run with the ball freely and finish with a shot on goal.

(5 mins) Stage 2, in this exercise the player will have to make their way through the cone gates before shooting. (Gaint Slalom)

Coaching Points:

Players should be using small touches, keeping the ball close to their feet

Encourage the children to use booth feet in all parts of the exercise

Progressions:

Move forward with the sole.

Organization:

Distance 15 yards

Three groups of players

Instructions:

Players run between the cones without touching them

Players rotate to shoot from different angles

Progressions:

Run with no ball

Run with the ball in their hands

Dribble the ball with the feet (as shown in diagram)

Finish on goal

Coaching Points:

Change the rhythm of the race by varying the distance between the cones

Encourage competition between the teams to make the exercise more fun

Progress by asking the players to dribble through every second cone
