varaible (20 mins)

(x1 player in red)

(x2 player in blue)

(x3 player in green)

x1 dribbles the ball to the first cone and turns on that then dribbles to next and so on until they get to the last cone where he comes to a 1v1 against x2. x1 can either go around the poles and past the defender for 2 points or through the poles and past the defender for 3 points. x1 will then become 1v1 with x3 and gets an extra point if he scores. If x2 or x3 get the ball they win 2 points but when x1 gets past the poles x2 has to stop chasing him.

Reflection (20 mins)

Details, venue, players, topic

Before the start of the session on the 27/1/16 i arrived 20 minutes before the session actually began i was the first their and started setting up as the other coaches was running late i set a little game for the players so they wasn't standing around and kicking balls around.

Feelings before and during

During this session i was pretty confident as my first session was quite a success i was positive going through to this was after the session the players seemed to understand the aims that was set out and put them into practice in the small sided game this was very pleasing to see as more players felt confident than before when running with the ball. Throughout the session i kept a professional manner and answered questions being asked and provided more demonstrations this time round as i knew it was a weakness in my previous session due to nerves.

Evaluation

On reflection the space i used for running with the ball session was to small which lead to players not showcasing running with the ball and lead to the passing it around in relfection i would open the area out 10 yards wider and 10 yards longer.

Analysis

Going forward to future sessions i believe it could be improved by all coaches being at the venue at the same time to support each other setting up and getting the players focused straight from the start. If the coaches delay happened again i would try an prevent this by keeping in close contact with them at least 20 minutes if not 10 minutes before the session actually began then i would be able to set more of a session up for the players instead of a little game before i started the main session

Conclusion

I believe that in conclusion the set up was good as all the cones was colour co-ordinated so players didnt get mixed up where there space was i also believe that the players really understood this so in a few weeks i would be deliver a similar session as they have started running with the ball more in games.

Action plan

Going forward i believe that as highlighted in the evaluation the space i used will be bigger next time i deliever a similar session. I also believe that my coaching position could have been better as sometimes i was to far away and couldnt see the players running through the gates and scoring points for their team. Also i would use a whiteboard for the visual learners as some players didnt grasp what i meant until the demonstaration this had a inpact on my time as i had to cut the blocked session earlier than i wanted.
